What is Fringe World?
Fringe World Festival is an annual multi-arts festival in Perth, Western Australia. Held during the summer season, it is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people every year. The program of events features shows from a range of styles from comedy to circus, music to dance, and theatre to visual arts, hosted across over 100 venues throughout Perth.
Last year's Fringe Festival (2025) was a huge success. Here are some fast facts:
- The festival brought together 2,700 artists.
- Nearly 500,000 people attended.
- There were 577 events hosted.
- Over $10.7 million was spent at the Box Office, with $8.3 million going to the artists and venues.
When is Fringe World on?
This year (2026), the festival will run from 21 January to 15 February 2026.
Where are the show venues?
Many Fringe shows are located in the city centre and Northbridge, but you can find Fringe shows all over Perth! Use the location filter on the to find a show near you.
is Fringe World's central location where you can relax, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy Fringe World entertainment and shows. It takes over Russell Square, a large park between Aberdeen Street and James Street in Northbridge. It's free to enter, but since it's a licensed area with a bar, you will need to show valid photo ID to gain entry. Under 18's are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Where can I buy tickets, and how much do they cost?
You can buy your tickets through the or the . Simply find the show you would like to attend, and click Buy tickets.
You can use the filters to look for the right date, genre, price, and location for you.
Ticket costs vary widely by show and location, but generally range from $20-40. Premium and very popular shows can come with higher prices, sometimes over $100.
